Here are a few clever maths type puzzles, please post some of your own too….
A few easy ones to start:
1. A drunken prison warden one night decides to open all the prison cells number 1 -100, he then closes/opens every second one, then every third, then every fourth and so on all the way up to 100. After he is finished which cells are still closed?
2. Whats the smallest positive integer x such that if you remove the first digit and append to the end the new number is 1.5 times x? eg. if x =17 then 71 should equal 1.5 * x, obvious this doesnt work in this case.
